1. Biweekly Market
One of Portugal’s oldest markets, dating back to 1125 — fresh produce, cheese, clothes, tools, livestock. A living tradition that has run for nearly 900 years along the banks of the Lima.
2. Roman Bridge Walk
Cross the medieval/Roman bridge over the Lima river and enjoy views from both banks. The bridge is one of the most iconic landmarks in the Minho region.
3. Riverside Picnic
Grab produce from the market and enjoy a picnic along the Lima’s banks under the plane trees. A perfect way to slow down and savour the morning’s finds.
4. Vinho Verde Tasting
Visit a local adega or wine bar for the region’s signature light, slightly sparkling wine. The Lima valley produces some of the best vinho verde in northern Portugal.
